The takeaway

HARPPA has recalled about 47,166 Nordi Foldable Toddler Tower Stools after three collapse or tip-over incidents caused two injuries. Children's torsos can fit through gaps in the front and back, creating fall and entrapment hazards. The Denver-based company is offering a free repair kit with stabilizing feet and protective netting to owners of the $130 stools.

HARPPA, Inc. has recalled about 47,166 Nordi Foldable Toddler Tower Stools after the company said the stools can collapse or tip over during use, with gaps in the frame large enough for a child's torso to slip through and become trapped.

The hazard

The Denver-based company, whose stools are manufactured in China, said three incidents of collapse or tip-over have been reported, resulting in two injuries described as scrapes, cuts and bruises. The recall notice, issued July 30, 2026, warns of "a risk of serious injury and death due to tip over, fall and entrapment hazards."

What was sold

The Nordi Foldable Toddler Tower Stool, model HANS0002, sold for about $130 on HARPPA's website and Amazon.com from September 2023 through June 2026. Toddler towers are typically used to let young children stand safely at counter height to help with cooking or handwashing.

What owners should do

  • Stop using the stool immediately and store it out of children's reach.
  • Contact HARPPA at 833-471-9321 (weekdays, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. PT), email recall@harppababy.com, or visit harppababy.com/recall to request a free repair kit.
  • The repair kit includes protective netting and stabilizing feet along with installation instructions, shipped free of charge.

About toddler towers generally

Toddler and learning towers have grown popular for Montessori-style parenting, but the CPSC has flagged several models in recent years over tip-over and fall risks. Regardless of brand, the agency recommends never leaving a child unattended on any elevated stand-assist furniture.
