What our ratings are based on
- Publicly available manufacturer specifications and documentation.
- Independent test reports from recognised testing organisations and specialist publications, always cited.
- Verified user reviews across several retailers, read for recurring problems rather than averaged blindly.
- Price data and price history from retailers and affiliate feeds.
Criteria are published first
For each product class we publish the criteria and their weights before products are scored. A rating is the weighted result of those criteria, not a test grade.
What the score means
A score such as 9.1 is a "rating by our criteria". It compares products within one class at one point in time. We do not claim to have tested the product ourselves, and we never describe a product as tested by THRYV.
Commercial independence
Affiliate commissions and advertising never change a score or a ranking. Products without an affiliate link are rated in exactly the same way.
