- Information you give us: your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter, and the content of any message you send to our newsroom address.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, referring page and pages viewed, collected automatically when you load the site.
- Cookie-based data: analytics and advertising measurement data, only where you have consented. See our Cookie Policy.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16, and we do not ask readers for financial account details, identification documents or sensitive personal data.

Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf — hosting, email delivery, analytics and, where enabled, advertising partners — under contract and only for the purposes above, and with authorities where legally required. Third-party advertising partners may act as independent controllers for data collected through advertising cookies you have consented to; their own notices govern that processing.
Retention
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Server and security logs are kept for a limited operational period. Analytics data is retained in aggregated or pseudonymised form.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. Readers in the EU/UK may lodge a complaint with their national data protection authority; readers in certain US states may have rights to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell personal information.
