Stellantis is recalling approximately 1,271,294 Ram 1500 pickup trucks from the 2019 through 2026 model years after determining that second-row seat belt buckle anchors may not have been properly attached to the vehicle's body structure during assembly.
What's wrong
According to the automaker, the anchors affect roughly 0.1% of the recalled population — meaning most trucks in the recall range are unaffected, but Stellantis cannot identify which specific vehicles have the defect without inspection. If a buckle anchor isn't properly secured, the seat belt system may not manage crash loads as designed.
In certain collision scenarios, this condition could affect the performance of the second-row seat belt system and increase the risk of injury to occupants.
